Not Too Long Ago ...
Back in early December when my daughter was just a little more than 3 months old, I went with my family to a festival. One of my nephews, age 6, was playing peek-a-boo with my girl. Afterward, we had this conversation:
Ty: Cathy, I was playing peek-a-boo with Nicole.
Me: Oh, that's nice. She likes to play peek-a-boo.
Ty: Will she play hide and seek?
Me: No, buddy, she's still too young to get around by herself.
Ty: Well, you can just put her some place.
Bless his heart. All I could do was laugh. I know he just wanted to play, but it just cracked me up that he saw nothing wrong with me hiding my newborn in the hotel closet or some place like that.
