Yay! She Gets It!

Ever since my daughter was born, when my husband and I talk to each other on the phone, we'll put the phone up to her ear so that whichever one of us is not with her at the time can talk to her. Usually, when she hears us talking, she turns in the direction of the phone and tries to look past it to see us, as if we're hiding off in the corner somewhere.

Today, though, when I put her on the phone with my husband, she looked at the phone, not past it. And when I put the phone back to my own ear, her eyes followed it. I think that for the first time, she realizes that the voice is coming through the phone.

I love these moments when she learns something new.
