Big Day for My Little Girl

This morning, my husband, our daughter and I got up super early and headed to the hospital for our little one to get tubes put in her ears. I know it's something little children have done all of the time, but it can still be hard on the parents. I wanted to sit with her until she was under anesthesia, but I understand why doctors don't let moms and dads back there.

Once her surgery was over, which took less than 15 minutes, the staff paged my husband and me to let us know we could go back to her. As we walked down the hallway, I could hear her somewhere. I nearly had tears in my eyes when I saw her. She was cranky, but I was so relieved to see her. I didn't even realize how tense and worried I was until I was able to let go of it.
