Her Grand Entrance

In the past, whenever I drop my daughter off at day care by myself, I've held her while I sign her in then carry her back to her room.

On Monday, it occurred to me that she's good enough at walking that I can set her down now. So I did, and she stood in the day care entryway as I signed her in. Then, I took her hand and walked her back to her classroom.

"Look at you, walking in just like a big girl!" the room supervisor said as my little girl walked into the room.

My daughter seemed to realize for the first time where she was, then promptly turned around and tried to leave.
