Bath Time

One specific instruction from the doctor following my daughter's surgery to put tubes in her ears was not to get water in them. She'll scream and cry, he said, because it will hurt -- bad. In addition, the water won't necessarily leave her ears on its own, so it will likely mean a trip to the doctor's office to alleviate her discomfort.

Today I'll give her the first bath she's had since the surgery. I'm very nervous about getting water in her ears, even with ear plugs in them. Other parents do this all the time, I know, so it shouldn't be a big deal at all, but knowing that doesn't make me any less worried I might accidentally cause her pain.
