Now You See It, Now You Don't

Recently, I thought I felt a tooth on my daughter's lower jaw. Ever since, my husband and I have been trying to see it. When we can get her to open her mouth, she sticks out her tongue, completely covering the spot where the tooth should be.

We've tried moving her tongue and have thought we've seen a fleeting glimpse of a white tooth just starting to emerge from her gums. Other times, when we can get a view of the exact same spot, we see nothing but gum.

It's been more than a week since I first thought I felt a tooth, and we still don't know for certain.
